When pastime meets business you can really learn to enjoy your job. Wheels Deep caught up with Chad DuBois of Play Nice Customs LLC to learn a little more about his truck Whiskey Bent.

WD: Awards/Competitions Won?
CD: Not big into racing or competition, I do this for fun and to promote my business and ability as a machinist/fabricator

WD: Favorite Mud Parks/Events?
CD: Maximum Power Park, Poland NY. Lots of small local events, Johnnys mud runs Enfield CT, and Truckfest at McCrays Farm, South Hadley MA

WD: Fun Fact about Your Truck and/or Yourself?
CD: people that know me know that Square body trucks are basically my life.

WD: What got you into the mud biz? How long have you been at it?
CD: My Father had 4×4 trucks when I was kid and I have been building 4×4 and offroad trucks since I was 15 years old.

WD: Married? Kids? Are they involved?
CD:  Not married, no kids. My whole family is involved and I have 2 nephews that enjoy going to the events

WD: If you could get behind the wheel of any other truck which would it be? A favorite truck besides your own? CD: Such a tough call, there are so many great trucks out there.

WD: What keeps you in the game?
CD: Promotes my business and enjoy the fans and supporters at the local events. The young kids remind me of when I was a kid seeing big trucks.

WD: Do you have any rituals or habits prior to a race day or mud event?
CD: Basically check the truck over thoroughly to be sure it’s ready to go.

WD: What’s one fun non-mud related fact we might not know about you?
CD: I am a perfectionist. Machinist mentality, can build anything out of metal but can only make a fire out of wood.

WD: If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would you go?  
CD: I like visiting the west, California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado.

WD: What do you think the most important part of a truck is?  
CD: Not necessarily a part but I believe reliability is the most important thing.

WD: What is your daily driver?
CD: Depends on the day of the week but mainly my 04 GMC 2500HD, reg cab long bed, white, 7 inch lift with 35 inch tires

WD: What is your Day Job?
CD: Owner/Bossman at Play Nice Customs LLC

WD: What is on the Horizon for you/your truck?
CD: Gathering parts for a rebuild, new body, new roll cage and  a little more hp

WD: How did your truck get it’s name?

CD: Not really sure but it came to me one day and fits it well, ol hank jr. is one of my favorites to listen to

WD: Final Thoughts?  
CD: Happy that a hobby I enjoy has led to a business. Couldn’t do any of it without the support of great family, friends and customers! The entire hobby/sport is full of great people.
