What got you in to the mud biz? How long have you been at it? I’ve been into mud bogging for about 3 years. This is my first year actually driving the trucks & competing.
Married? Kids? Are they involved?
I am engaged to Bennie Goodin & together we own Nightmare Racing Mega Trucks. We both are very involved in the mud bog world. Weather it’s flying through the mud pit or spending late nights working in the shop, we are a team.
If you could get behind the wheel of any other truck which would it be? A favorite truck besides your own?
This is a hard question! I have many favorites but if I has to narrow it down, Plum Crazy, Rippit, Reckless, Sail are some of my favorite trucks. If I could drive any of them, it’d probably be Rippit owned by Jake Larson.
What keeps you in the game?
I love the challenge of the different pits. Every mud pit has its own challenges & I like that.
Do you have any rituals or habits prior to a race/event day?
Since most of our bogs are play bogs, it’s not just a straight run, so every pit is different. Before any bog I always go check out the pit. Weather I get to walk it or watch a couple trucks go though it first, I like to see where the holes are so I don’t tear my trucks up. My fiance always makes sure my harness is hooked properly and tight before I go flying into the pit. I try to plan my path before I hit the pit but a lot of times I just wing it.
What’s one fun non-mud related fact we might not know about you? When I’m not mud bogging I’m usually at a horse show competing. I am just as much involved in the horses as I am in mud bogging. Between the two, I stay very busy through out the year.
If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would you go?
I have always wanted to go to Aruba.
What do you think the most important part of a truck is?
Most important part of a truck would probably be its safety harness and seat. The number one priority is keeping the driver safe. A fire extinguisher is also very important to have.
What is your daily driver? 2017 Dodge Ram
What is your Day Job? Phlebotomist
What is on the Horizon for you/your truck?
You never know what crazy ideas we have up our sleeves. We plan on competing more & traveling to a lot more out of state mud bogs next year. The Nightmare Racing team is made up of some pretty cool trucks, so very excited to see how the trucks perform at the different venues.
How did your truck get it’s name?
Bennie & I own Nightmare Racing Mega Trucks so all of our personal trucks have to have nightmare in their name.
