Girls get dirty too! Jana Brown, driver of Mud Maiden, is proof of this. She gets down and dirty with the best of the boys around her town in Oklahoma even taking on the Bounty Holes. We got the inside scoop on this Muddy Lady and her truck.

  • Engine: Ford 460 big block
  • Tires/Lift: 14.9/24 tractor tires, coil springs and triangled 4-link for a lift
  • Awards/Competitions Won: haven’t really got any awards, but I have won one bounty hole at Cox City, OK and few 2nd and 3rd places in racing at several mud bogs around Oklahoma and texas

Favorite Mud Parks/Events: Mudstock at Sparks, OK and Rednecks with Paychecks at St.Jo, TX

Fun Fact about Your Truck and/or Yourself: to my knowledge I am currently the only Female Mega Truck driver in the state of Oklahoma

WD: What got you into the mud biz? How long have you been at it?

Jana: Had a friend that raced mud bogs I used to go and watch and fell in love with it and have been hooked ever since.  I have been racing with my truck for about 10 years

WD: Married? Kids? Are they involved?

Jana: Have been married for 12 years to my husband Robbie Brown who has fabricated and built my truck from the ground up with me helping when I can

WD: If you could get behind the wheel of any other truck which would it be? A favorite truck besides your own?

Jana: If I could pick any truck it would be my dream to get behind the wheel of Big Foot #1 I have watched that truck race since I was little and I have tried to base my truck off of that one.. I have tried to keep my truck original and old school the best I can..

WD: What keeps you in the game?

Jana: I have a love for this sport, you could say I have mud running through my veins.  My favorite part is seeing the kids enjoy the sport so much and watching their faces when I make a pass through the mud it makes me so happy

WD: Do you have any rituals or habits prior to a race day or mud event?

Jana: Working on the truck up until the last minute to make sure everything is in working order

WD: What’s one fun non-mud related fact we might not know about you?

Jana: Not sure if this is non mud related I don’t do a whole lot besides stuff in the mud but I love wrenching on my truck and other vehicles

WD: If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would you go?

Jana: I have always wanted to visit Alaska

WD: What do you think the most important part of a truck is?

Jana: The suspension, because without it you can’t get the power to the ground

WD: What is your daily driver?

Jana: 2015 Jeep Wrangler

WD: What is your Day Job?

Jana: Waitress

WD: What is on the Horizon for you/your truck?

Jana: Hopefully upgrades to the truck and being able to travel to bigger events

WD: How did your truck get it’s name?

Jana: Thought of it one day when I was outside washing the mud off of it after a race
