WD: Sponsors?
BS: Shippert Farms (Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Shippert-Farms-248828428529238/

WD: What got you into the mud biz? How long have you been at it?
BS: Around 2005 I had a friend who convinced me to build a trail rig so I built a ’88 Bronco II with junkyard parts and it all went from there.

WD? Married? Kids? Are they involved?
BS: Married to my wife Angela. We have a 4-year old and one on the way. They love what I do and are involved as much as possible.

WD? If you could get behind the wheel of any other truck which would it be? A favorite truck besides your own?
BS: All of them! If I had to pick one it would probably be Grant Charlick’s “Second 2 None” truck.

WD: What keeps you in the game?
BS: I used to think it was all about the horsepower and putting on a show, but I did a show to benefit kids with cancer, and it changed my perspective and my motivation of having my truck. Seeing how the children interacted with us and the trucks reminded me when I was a child and my love for monster trucks. So if I can put on a show and bring joy to the fans and somehow help others in their time of need, I’ll be there in a heartbeat.

WD: Do you have any rituals or habits prior to a race day or mud event?
BS: Say a prayer for the good Lord to keep us all safe.

WD: What’s one fun non-mud related fact we might not know about you?
BS: I’m a huge heavy metal fan!

WD: If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would you go?
BS: Anywhere outside of Illinois!

WD: What do you think the most important part of a truck is?
BS: With a truck like this safety has to be your #1 concern.

WD: What is your daily driver?
BS: 2012 Dodge 2500

WD: What is your Day Job?
BS: Farmer

WD: What is on the Horizon for you/your truck?
BS: I change my mind every 5 minutes! But we will be getting it out to various events over the Midwest.

WD: How did your truck get it’s name?
BS: Everyone seems to think being a BA is having a dark, sinister name or theme for their truck; however I’m not like that. I feel being a BA is standing up for what you believe in, going “Against the Grain,” and having a truck with a positive Christian image.
